Announcement from iKnow!
iKnow! x DMM Announcement
We have some big news to announce today. The iKnow! service is being acquired by DMM.com, effective as of August 1st, 2015.
We at Cerego Japan thank you, our users, for all these years of loyal support. Over the past nine years, we have built an amazing product together with you.
iKnow! will continue to exist as an independent service, and we are happy to say that the entire iKnow! team is moving to DMM, where we will be working as a part of the DMM Eikaiwa team. DMM Eikaiwa (http://eikaiwa.dmm.com) is a company within DMM that provides Skype-based English language instruction to learners here in Japan and to learners around the world under the brand Engoo.
We will be working together with DMM Eikaiwa to continue to improve iKnow! and to find ways for these two services to complement each other. Given that iKnow! is a software training service, and that DMM Eikaiwa provides real-world speaking practice over Skype with teachers, we see the two services as perfectly complementary to each other. There is great potential for these two services to combine forces in the future to create a completely unique and innovative approach to English language learning.
Now of course we know that for our English-speaking users, such developments will be less relevant. iKnow!'s main user base has always been Japanese learning English, but we have endeavored also to make iKnow! a powerful tool for learning Japanese and Chinese. Japanese and Chinese learning are important to us, so rest assured you will still be able to use the service as you have for learning these languages. Moreover, with additional resources and firepower behind us, we can start formulating larger plans for the product, and most improvements we make will hit the study of any language.
In the short-term, we don't expect to experience any big changes, but please see the FAQ below if you have any questions or concerns.
