If your Japanese is already at an intermediate level, you can start here instead of in the Core 1000. Mastering all the items in the Core 1000 and Core 2000 will give you a very strong foundation in Japanese. Not only will you understand dialogue in most basic situations, you’ll also start to develop skills for reading on your own.
